The American Association of University Women (AAUW) advances equity for women and girls through research, education and advocacy. AAUW Washington provides leadership and training to invigorate and inform local branches and affiliates and advocates as one voice to achieve our state objectives and support the national mission of advancing gender equity for women and girls. Our Stanwood-Camano branch has monthly meetings supporting these objectives, sponsors a Candidates and Issues Forum every October, participates in Lobby Day in January, awards scholarships to college students from this area and sends in-coming 8th grade girls to Tech Trek STEM camp each summer.
