Mission
To enhance the well-being of America's Veterans, their families, our military, and our communities by our devotion to mutual helpfulness.
Description of Services
The American Legion:
-helps Veterans and families understand and apply for benefits
-helps Veterans find employers who understand their skills and values
-helps Veterans understand and apply for education assistance
-advocates for Veterans who earned and deserve timely, high-quality care through the VA
-supports military personnel and their families during service and when they return
-provides resources for women Veterans to learn about their benefits, advocates for gender-specific health care and fights to end military sexual trauma
-provides family and youth programs like American Legion Baseball, oratorical contests, scholarships and more
